Welcome to Calm Christmas!
Everything you need for a calm Christmas, in one place.
Hello and welcome to the Calm Christmas Substack, a seasonal Substack publication which offers light in the dark season, from early November through until early January. Sent out to you from the kitchen table of my little thatched cottage in Devon, South West England, it doesn’t get much cosier than this.
My name is Beth Kempton and I have loved Christmas since I was a child. The hopes of snow and flying reindeer, that special Christmassy feeling in the air. I still sense it as a grown up, but the festive season seems to come with a lot more pressure these days.
This year, instead of trying to create the ‘perfect’ Christmas, what if we just relaxed and focused on what really matters? The Calm Christmas Substack will help you do just that, offering winter wellbeing tips, crafty ideas, beautiful wintry words, inspiration for the dark times and all manner of ideas for bringing light into your life during the holiday season.
What do you get if you subscribe?
From early November through to early January, you will receive weekly podcast episodes timed to guide you through the season from late autumn, deep into winter, and across the threshold of the new year. These will be accompanied by thoughtful essays, lovely tips for making the most of the season, and the chance to connect with other ‘Keepers of Christmas’ around the world, bonded by a shared intention to find light in the darkness. All of this is free. Just click the button below so you don’t miss a thing, and look forward to a gentle walk through winter, together.
What do I know?
I am astonished and delighted that my sweet little seasonal offering The Calm Christmas Podcast has become the UK’s #1 favourite Christmas podcast. It has been downloaded nearly half a million times, and recommended by the likes of Vanity Fair, Ideal Home, the Radio Times and Great British Podcasts. I am also the author of Calm Christmas and a Happy New Year, mother of a Christmas Day baby and a lifelong lover of this special season. What a joy to share this time of year with you.
May you have whatever kind of Christmas you want and need this year.
Beth Xx
