Goodness, Beth. What a beautiful episode, my favourite yet. Our first grandchild is 19 months. I’m keenly aware, at 70, that I’m very blessed to love her and that I may not be around to see her grow. We spend Mondays together. Our new regular activity is to feed the birds after breakfast and though the pigeons try to get there first, there’s a friendly Robin who dares to approach as we sit on the garden bench, wrapped warmly in gloves and scarves. Each Monday evening, I draw and write in a diary which I’m keeping to give to her. I record where we’ve been , what she likes to eat, her new words, the things that made us laugh. Brief entries sometimes but a growing memory of our love and her gorgeousness.
Thank you for these podcasts. They are a welcome pause in busy days.
A few tears rolled down my cheeks listening to this. It's nice to not have the whole cheer up it's Christmas thing force fed to me and know that it's ok to feel the way I do. Thank you 🙏
